My Practice

Welcome to my practice, where I provide face-to-face counselling sessions at a local Chiropractic clinic in the village of Bedwas and online via  Zoom; ensuring accessibility for UK residents. There are no limits on the number of sessions, but I prioritise the therapeutic value of our work together and will on occasion assess its effectiveness. If you choose online counselling, please ensure surroundings are private and secure for a comfortable experience.

Introductory Zoom Call

I offer potential clients a free 15-minute consultation to help you explore the benefits of counselling. This session is a great opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity about the process without any commitment. I'm here to provide information and support, so you can make an informed decision about your mental health journey.

My Approach & How this helps

My counselling approach is predominantly Systemic, focusing on the relational aspects of the issues presented by my clients. Systemic therapy aims to understand how individuals derive meaning through various factors such as, culture, class, race, gender, and sexuality, and how their unique life experiences shape their worldview.

 

This perspective views clients not as isolated individuals, but as integral parts of interconnected social groups, including family, friendships, and professional relationships.

 

Through my Systemic orientation, I believe in the transformative power of conversation, often referred to as a dialogical approach. By collaborating with clients, we can create new meanings and develop healthier ways of addressing life's challenges, ultimately leading to beneficial solutions in their lives.

Arranging a Session

Clients are encouraged to email me to schedule an appointment or set up a free 15-minute consultation via Zoom. Please note that we do not accept third-party referrals; the individual seeking therapy must attend the sessions. For couples therapy, partner can initiate the referral, but both must agree to participate.

Payment Methods

I accept cash or debit card payments. Alternatively, I can send an online payment link directly to your mobile phone.

Useful Info

Counselling can often be costly, particularly with weekly sessions. In my own experience, I chose to see my counsellor every 4 weeks to make it more affordable. While weekly attendance is generally recommended, I provide flexibility by allowing a maximum four-week gap between sessions. This approach may extend the duration therapy, but I believe it's essential for you to have control over your journey whenever possible.
